Christy Buerer
is a Senior Theatre Major from Greenville, SC.
Originally coming to the program as a performance
emphasis, she discovered her passion for the technical
side of theatre during her freshman year and has actively
pursued it ever since. She plans to graduate with a design
concentration, working for a couple of years, and
ultimately plans to pursue a Masters degree in technical
theatre. Her play credits include Master Carpenter for
All My Sons, Master Electrician for Romeo and
Juliet, A Grand Night for Singing, The Miracle
Worker, and The Importance of Being Earnest and
Lighting Designer for Undone and A Sander’s
Family Christmas. In the summer of 2008, Christy
worked with Ted Thomas, NGU Technical Director, on the
deconstruction and renovation of what is now the School of
Theatre building, she spent the summer of 2009 at Brenau
University as a summer technician, and in Fall 2009 she
completed a technical internship at Greenville’s Peace
Center for the Performing Arts. She is currently in the
process of researching and designing her senior project,
the sceneography for NGU School of Theatre’s presentation
of C.S. Lewis’ work The Great Divorce.
Melissa Mullinax is a
senior theatre major, psychology minor from Charlotte,
NC with an emphasis in History/Pedagogy. She has worked
backstage as an assistant stage manager, prop master,
costume mistress, and her favorite so far, assistant
director of The Importance of Being Earnest. She
has had a number of small roles in the main stage
productions of Romeo and Juliet and A Grand
Night for Singing and a few one-act plays. She is also
a member of Act II. She hopes to attend graduate school
after NGU, but most importantly, will pursue whatever God
has planned for her.
Corie Savage is a senior theatre major with a concentration in Ministry. She is currently working on her senior seminar, a play about four women of the Bible called Accepted. She directed a one act written by one of NGU's students and has done costume work for She Loves Me, Romeo and Juliet, and A Grand Night For Singing. She has been seen on stage in The Gift of the Magi, Along for the Ride, The Princess and the Pizza, and a few others. She enjoys NGU and can’t wait to see what God has in store for her.
Sarah Smith is a
freshman from Summerville South Carolina with an emphasis
in ministry, she hopes to use what she learns at North
Greenville and go on to become a missonary reaching
children through theatre-related misson work. Although she
has not yet graced the stage at North Greenville she hopes
to start appearing in shows in future years and has worked
in countless shows during her years in daycare, middle and
high schools. She loves theatre for the one-of-a-kind work
and people one can encouter. Sarah is also a proud member
of the "Lets Start Wearing Purple" Improv Team.
