internships

THEATRE INTERNSHIPS

Students in the BA major are required to register for two semesters of internship. The purpose of the internship program is to give theatre majors real world experience in a setting that parallels their intended career track. Students intern at theatres (both local and away from the Greenville community), churches, schools, and other organizations. They log 80 hours of work for each semester of their internship and keep a journal of their experiences. Many times these internships open doors for employment in the future.

Below are a listing of the students who have interned each semester and the organizations for which they interned. The list begins with the most current semester.

Spring 2010

Zac Deuerling is working with Tim Brown at Travelers Rest High School.
Karla Neves is assisting Tracey Amick at the South Carolina Children's Theatre classes.
Daniel Reith is doing tech work for Greenville Little Theatre.
Bethany Sarazen is working with Teri Parker Lewis at the Fine Arts Center of Greenville County.
Diedre Simpson is assisting Emily Reddick at Blue Ridge High School.
Kyle Stelling is working with drama classes at Berea High School.
