Fall 2012

NGU faculty/student news!

  • Dr Dale Savidge (Chair) will travel to San Juan, PR to teach and program a summer 2013 conference.
  • Dr Savidge and Corrie Danieley (Acting) along with 4 NGU theatre majors are pioneering the Playback Cafe at Triune Mercy Center, a church for the homeless in Greenville, SC.
  • Addi Musen (Senior) is interning with Kimberly Ferreira on Smokey Joes Cafe at Greenville LIttle Theatre.
  • Brittany Ayers (Junior) is attending the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center.
  • Hailey Stevens (Junior) taking classes and interning at Disneyworld in Orlando FL.
  • Lauren Shealy (Junior) is running follow spot and working tech for Smokey Joes Cafe at GLT.
  • Sarah Smith (senior) is interning as production assistant on a show at SC Children's Theatre.
  • Addi Musen (director) and Thomas Sieberhagen (actor) are collaborating for their senior theatre projects on the November 7-17 production of Cotton Patch Gospel in the Billingsley Theatre.

NGU theatre is the proud owner of a 60' high electric left, courtesy of Dixie Rubber and Plastics (Greenville, SC) - which will assist with rigging in the Billingsley.

We are also grateful to Ryobi Tools for a donation of power and hand tools for our scene shop!
